Sitges

Half an hour and € 7,00 away from Barcelona is Sitges, an amazing cute little beach town famous for its neverending parties, its fantastic cinema festival (literally 'fantastic', have a look at this year's poster) and home town of Don Facundo Bacardí Massó, founder of course of the famous rum distillery (there is a Museum if you want to visit, Casa Bacardí, where apparently mojitos and piña coladas are part of the tour).

We head down to Sitges just for one day and although it was a really nice experience I wish I had planned to stay at least a couple of days. On our super trip we bought fruits on the town and headed to the beach where we relaxed and swam, then we had a nice, decent priced, paella at the Hotel Santa María and walked around town looking for the best ice cream.

If you are in Barcelona, please please please, go to Sitges you are seriously in for a treat.

Caribbean Blues

Last week, finally I took my films (some, very old ones) to the Lomography Shop in Spitafields Market to be developed. I mention them in what it would appear to be a sponsored post but it's not (I wish), just because I think the service it's been brilliant. The physical photos are yet to be send to my house but in the meantime they sent me a link with all my photos digitalised and ready to be downloaded to my computer or uploaded to my Lomo home. I think is awesome!

Anyway, let's start this rainy blue Monday with some memories from happier blues back in Los Roques this January.

 Los Roques, I'm sure is one of the most beautiful places in Earth. It's an 'archipiélago' that means: a chain of islands and coral reefs in the Caribbean Sea about 166 km north of Venezuela. According to Wikipedia there are approximately 350 islands, cays and islets in a total area of 40.61 square kilometers.

Starting this year spending three days there was an amazing privilege (thanks mum, you are definitely the best!), and watching the photos again while there's zero degrees outside it's keeping me warm and happy.

There will be another post with some more pics. This place is so beautiful that is impossible not to go crazy taking pictures ;)

More Random Brighton

More random Brighton just because I've been watching my last year pictures lately. This incredible sunny day I wondered around town with Chris and the wonderful Nem (if you are ever in Brighton, you got to go to Nem's pub, you're gonna have a super nice time!). We walked the lanes, had a nice Vietnamese lunch (that included Pho, one of my favorite soups in the whole wide world) and then went to the beach to have some cider. Lovely Brighton, innit?

40 degrees

Today the Real Feel in Buenos Aires is higher than 40 degrees, so the only thing in my mind are my treasured memories of beaches and the sea. In this temperature it doesn't make sense to be someplace else, innit?
