São Paulo in Film

More sunny memories for a rainy day. These are from my flash-trip to the lovely São Paulo this past September. Ibirapuera Park, the incredible Avenida Paulista and its arty phone-booths, and the MASP. I hope to have the chance to expend at least more than a day in São Paulo, next time my plane lands in there. Let's see!

PS: I don't have the photographic evidence, but the best sashimi I've eaten in my life was there.  Brazil is home to the largest Japanese population outside of Japan, so if you ever go to São Paulo, do yourself a favor and have massive amounts of sushi.

Eight Saturdays Ago

This absolutely dreary Saturday is a good moment to remember the good times at another Saturday a few weeks back at the lovely Playgroup Festival. That day was specially warm and sunny and perfect.

Sadly two of my Lomocameras manage to break at the same time, some Oktomat photos were saved, not good ones though, but good enough to be able to write the article I promised for Lomography Spain Magazine. (The photos here are the ones I took with my iPhone).

You can read my mini-article in Spanish here. Soon there will be translations into other languages. I hope. Maybe you can make one if you fancy and treat yourself some piggie-lomo-points ;)

Have a good Saturday everyone! x

I don't know what I'm going to do without the end of the world, I'm going to miss it SO MUCH :'(

My No-Houses

Looking for a room in London is really hard work. Everybody can tell you about it, but experiencing is way different! It took me 5 exhausting weeks and a lot of walking to find a place to live. I visited more than 20 houses. Fortunately I think at the end I got the best one!

These are the houses/places/neighborhoods that for one reason or another I end up not living in. It's interesting -for me- to look back at these places and imagine if my life would be different and how. Today I woke up thinking of those futuribles, as they are called in Spanish, and wondering how the city looks today from the Olympic House flat, I decided to share part of my (im)possible stories with you ;)

Have a nice weekend everyone! x

Forward

I really like to believe that 'the best is yet to come'. Not only for Americans, but for all of us.

Photos are from my last trip to New York, five years ago (crickey!). I think that it's kind of urgent that I go back and visit my friends soon, right?

In the same order of ideas, this is my favorite Obama meme.

Happy Mondays

I want to start this new week with good vibes, and a couple of links:

If you're in London, visit Everything Was Moving exhibition at the Barbican. A very interesting series of photographs from the 60's and the 70's including the works of Ernest Cole, David Goldblatt, Graciela Iturbide and Larry Burrows.

About the American elections, please see this video of Bill Maher on Romney and the "anti-intellectual, anti-science" Republican freakshow.

Finally to help the victims of Sand in Haiti visit: Universal Giving and the International Rescue Comitee.

The song to fit today's mood would have to be this one ;)

Hope that everyone have an amazing week!

Random Photos from This Week

This week that is about to end it's been hectic. I've been high on adrenaline, painfully tired and every possible state in between. And since all these dates happened this crazy week I wish you all a belated happy Halloween, beginning of Movember and Bonfire Night!
